Lipotropic injections are intramuscular (IM) injections and as such are administered in the hip, upper arm, buttock or thigh. The buttock is the least sensitive and the thigh is most accessible to those injecting themselves. Intramuscular injections allow for the slow release of ingredients directly into the bloodstream. Although oral products containing Lipotropic ingredients are available, the digestive system does not absorb them efficiently enough and this limits their efficacy.
