HUMAN CHORIONIC GONADOTROPIN (HCG)

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) gained its popularity in 2010 for being the new weight loss injectable. It is a naturally derived hormone that is produced by women during pregnancy. The HCG prescription injections, coupled with our weight loss diet, enable people to lose up to a pound a day, without ever feeling hungry. This diet originated in Italy many years ago.

HCG can be prescribed to men and women, and is often prescribed to men who are on testosterone therapy and are experiencing atrophy of the testes.

Patients who are prescribed HCG will self-inject the product.

DOES HCG REALLY WORK

Yes! HCG injections work! 

On the other hand, HCG pills found online and over the counter are a much different product than the injectable forms prescribed in a doctor’s office. Many online HCG pills have little or no trace of the actual hormone. The general concern with the HCG diet is the 800 calorie diet that, under normal would make the body revert to a decrease of muscle and lean body tissue as an energy source. HOW IS HCG ADMINISTERED

HCG is an injectable solution. It is prescribed in a vial for self administration of the hormone.

WILL I FEEL HUNGRY ON HCG?

No. Because HCG enables your body to utilize the fat already stored in your body, your body is getting the energy it needs from your body and thus your body does not produce the sensation of feeling hungry.

If a patient continues to feel hungry on HCG there are medications we can prescribe to curb the appetite further, such as phenermine.

HOW FAST WILL I LOSE WEIGHT WITH HCG?

Results will vary from person to person, but patients with 50+ lbs of excess weight can generally expect to lose approximetly 1 pound per day.

IS WEIGHT LOSS WITH HCG PERMANENT?

The weight will remain off so long as you maintain a healthy and balanced nutritional program.

WILL I HAVE TO STAY ON HCG FOREVER?

Patients do not have to stay on HCG forever. Once the desired amount of weight is lost they can keep the weight off using a healthy maintenance food program.
